Product Description:

Mac OS 9.1 Update is designed to support today's Mac OS 9 customers and ease the transition for tomorrow's Mac OS X customers. The Mac OS 9.1 update delivers additional support for Multiple Users and iTools services, and Sherlock 2 has a new channel Entertainment, making it easy to find movie reviews or your favorite song.

The Mac OS X Public Beta and Mac OS 9.1 are not compatible. If you install Mac OS 9.1, the Classic environment in the Mac OS X Public Beta will no longer function.

If you use a Language Kit, the full install CD is required to upgrade your language kit at the same time as you are upgrading to Mac OS 9.1.

The following Macs must order the update CD to install 9.1: PowerMac series :6100, 7100, 8100, 8115 and WorkGroup Servers 6150, 8150, 9150.

i have panther running again on the above mac.
1.25ghz powerpc g4
1mb l3 cache
256 mb ddr sdram
after having to wipe the whole thing an start again.(thanks to a pc tech touching it)
classic9 is no longer installed as previously was & i would like to know how to go about
1. getting it on a free download to re-install(system prefs tells me to reinstall it 9.0 or higher?)
2. how to go about doing this without it affecting my 10.3.9 running as sweetly as it is

is it even possible?
it's a mac! there must be a way!

please help me

Every time l try to download the mac os 9.1 it bugs at 11.3 Mo!

problems with USB devices, especially the nasty hang at boot up, were resolved by installing the new Apple "Startup Disk 9.2.1" after installing OS9.1
