install the drivers for the 777 that came free with a client's iMac. Machine was working fine before that... guess what: lock ups on restart, Finder crashes with Type 41, locks up on desktop rebuild, etc., etc. This is not the first time I've had this problem with Epson drivers. I don't know which version came packaged with the printer. Does anyone know if this improves the typical Epson printer driver fragility and the problem I am experiencing?

terribly LOUD! Tried a friends HP $100 printer and it whispered while it printed. Same print quality as far as I could tell. Anyone want to buy a used Epson 777!
