worth it, even if you only have a dial-up PPP connection - Version: 1.3.9, 9/23/2003 12:19AM PST

This sort of protection is plainly needed with OS X and/or if you have a 'constant on' connection to the Internet such as a cable modem or DSL. But is it really needed if you have only Classic, such as Mac OS 9.2.2, installed on your system and you also use only an intermittent dial-up modem connection ? Well, after 2 weeks of trying out IPNetSentry.PPC, I finally got an alert that someone was attempting to intrude into my system. That convinced me to splash ot the $40.00 which is more than a day's pay for me. I am online for 15-25 hours a week. Plus I am impressed that Sustworks lives in the real world where the majority of Mac users are not yet using OS X, and is still releasing updates for Classic users. Before I registered, I had filed a bug report and I got a prompt detailed helpful reply.

Not very mac-like and strange to configure! Upgraded to NetBarrier now and will never look back!!!
I'm not installing an upgrade without knowing what it does. So I'll wait...
