Product Description:

MP3 Strip is a Control Strip Module that provides easy browsing and high-quality playback of MP3 files. It has instant access and, despite its small size (about 100KB), no other program is required for easy listening to favorite MP3s.
With MP3 Strip, it takes takes less than a minute to download, install the program and play a favourite song. Just drag MP3 Strip onto the Control Strip, select a CD or a folder with an MP3 file and press the "Play" button. Moreover, the tiny MP3 Player can be set up exactly the way a user wants to sort parameters, display song titles and assign keyboard shortcuts, plus many other settings.
Some MP3 players you could downloaded may playback the MP3 file with a stammer, which never happens to MP3 Strip. As MP3 Strip is available now you are only a click away from your song, the application should not be separately launched and is always there in your Control Strip ready to enjoy you at any time. MP3 Strip ReviewAlmost perfect, but.. - Version: 1.5, 6/28/2004 09:15AM PST

..only almost, because of these issues:

    1. If I hide my control strips (or run any software that renders the strips invisible on screen), the music will stop after the currently playing song.
    2. Whenever my screensaver kicks in, the music will stop after the currently playing song (highly annoying, please fix!!).

I could add the idea about an equalizer, but that's more a question of feature than a bug, so I'm only taking 2 stars off for the two bugs mentioned above.

Aside from those two issues, this is the BEST mp3 player for os9 I have seen - Highly recommended, especially for those of us who value their money (nothing beats freeware), love music... and hate os x! ;)

    MP3 Strip ReviewIt has been… - Version: 1.5, 3/25/2003 01:46PM PST

quite a while since I have been so surprised with the convenience of a program. I can use it to listen to music from my ipod, without using iTunes (which is starting to annoy me a bit latelly, with its crashes, and its startup-time). MP3-Strip hasn't crashed my mac yet (I tried to, but it just wouldn't), and I'm surprised how it handles my iPod. It doesn't get 5 stars, just because it doesn't go to the next song when I'm playing a game (neither does iTunes), and because it doesn't have an Equalizer.
