my G4 and my Powerbook. The Documentation is great. Does not on my PowerMac 8100. I sent a note to Tech Support, not expecting much since this is freeware. I was absolutely amazed to receive an answer from "Jason" informing me that since my 8100 is NuBus based, the Super Res won't work with it. I'm impressed with the quality of the support, in addition to the quality of the product.

little p-oed at my monitor and card. They both support 1280x1024 @60Hz, yet, Apple says it must run in VESA mode before the resolution can appear in the control panel. I'm skeptical, but I know what I am doing. People, before you change your resolutions using another utility, check to see if the resolution is suppoted by both the card and the monitor by reading the instruction manuals. Another thing, resolutions that aren't defaulty supported by the system, will cause the monitor to change to 640x480 upon restart, then switch back to your desired resolution after the control panel loads, which could wreak havoc on your desktop.

a resolution which is not physically supported by your monitor (easily done), this thing blacks out your screen and continues to do so every time you start up. If this happens, start up with extensions off and delete a preference file called "display prefs." Then drag SuperRes and everything connected to it to the trash. WDEF Type A wasn't half the virus this thing is.
this is way…

you to switch resolutions, but please read the documentation: you might end up in a resolution mode that is not supported by your monitor. To get out of trouble, boot with the 'm' key held down! Unlike SwitchRes, you can't disable resolutions that do not work.
