MacSoft Scrabble ReviewOSX anyone? - Version: 1.0, 8/31/2003 11:49PM PST

I bought the original Hasbro implentation of this which clearly promised on the box internet play, but it never worked. Even Hasbro admitted this, and promised a fix that never came. The MacSoft implementation is very nice, and it does do internet play, albeit somewhat intermittently under OS X (c'mon, OS X is the new standard! How about an update!). My mother and I live several thousand miles apart and she is an avid Scrabble player. It would be nice if we could reliably play more than one game in a row. We both have new Macs that do not boot in OS 9, so we have to run in Classic mode, which has the nasty habit of changing the screen res to 600x800 and the bit depth to thousands - and then not changing it back after quitting. Therfore, the program really feels like a 90s implentation. Better than Hasbro, but not great enough to equal the quality Mac users have come to expect.
