SweetMail was a very good application. I can still run 2.2r6 on OS X 10.4.11. I wonder if it will still work on Leopard when I upgrade. I wish the developer did not vanish off the face of the Earth. If he is still out there maybe he will release the sources for reference ... maybe a new app could be built from it, or at least someone could maintain the carbon version until Apple stops supporting carbon...

Ah well! :)

It does everything I need it to do -- checks email fast and simply. It doesn't choke on downloading 300+ mails like Moz does, and it doesn't hog the whole CPU like Moz does either. I don't care if it doesn't do HTML. HTML in email is a security hole anyhow. It's an excellent product.
