I am always…

Different Adam
on the lookout for good email software for the macintosh. There currently isn't any that suits my taste. I downloaded this to try it out, and there are a few really nice features. 1. It stores its mail something /almost/ mbox-compliant. Close enough that it would be easy to get BBEdit to remove the one offending line that prevents Pine from reading it. 2. It is small and fast. Not a lot of features, but cleanly implemented. 3. Some clients (I am thinking of Mailsmith) do not easily handle editing outgoing mail. This one does. Very easily. 4. It integrates well (transparently, in fact) with Location Manager. What would I like to see in a future release? 1. The one offending Header line being changed to "X-Mailcharm-Header: " so it could share mailbox files with Pine. 2. A window that displays whatever message is highlited in the folder browser. (Currently read new message -> open new window) 3. Filters. These are (not yet?) implemented. For someone with light email needs (under 25 per day) this is a fine program, and gets four stars - features implemented aer implemented well. For those of us who receive more than that, the lack of filters, the window clutter would keep it at '2.5 and climbing.' I think this will develop into a very nice little program.
