Dr. Sorensen: How did you get SPSS 10 to work under classic in 10.1.2? I tried installing the software under classic, and this didn't work. I tried installing the software under a dual-boot, and then installing the update in classic-mode, and this didn't work. I've even tried installing it with a dual-boot for both the main program and the update, but this didn't work either. Is there something special that you're doing?

Dr. Sorenson
You are right that SPSS 10.0.8 works in classic under OS 10.1.2, which makes my rating be 3 stars for now. SPSS should stress this fact, given that their documentation in the "Read Me" still says OS 9 only. I'd add another star for carbonized version, and yet another star for a version of SPSS that does hierarchical linear modeling (something I need). I see that SPSS 11 for windows already does HLM, so an OS X native version of SPSS 11 would merit 5 stars in my book! I was also a beta tester for SPSS 10 for Mac, but haven't heard anything from SPSS/MacKiev yet.
