Product Description:

This free System Extension enhances the way your Macintosh computer can read CD-ROMs from other platforms, mainly Windows. Until now, if you inserted a Windows CD-ROM in your Mac, file names appeared to be crippled (in the so-called 8.3 format) or files may have been inaccessible. This Joliet extension is designed to solve these problems. Especially, if you have CD-ROMs with the following contents you'll likely benefit from this enhancement:
  • MP3 songs
  • Java class and/or source files
  • web content, such as HTML files
  • DirectCD CD-Rs created and closed under Windows

What's new in this version:

  • Now really works with Video CDs and QT 5.0.1.
  • Certain hybrid CDs are now mounted in the preferred HFS and not in the ISO format as it happened in versions 1.4 and 1.4.1

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS Classic

Additional Requirements:

  • System 7.1 or higher

Joliet Volume Access ReviewDoes anyone know… - Version: 2.0.3, 1/24/2003 10:22AM PST

where to find support for ISO 9660 Level 3 in Mac OS X 10.2.x ? I woud love that support.. Apple support up to Level 2. I do not want to boot into 9 to mount ISO 9660 Level 3 CD's I sure hope that Tempelmann can write a extension for level 3 for X! Igor1: I don't think that is UDF, I am sure that is ISO 9660 3 which is also used for DirectCD (packet writing) I have been using 1.4.2! and saw no need for 2.x since I am using mac os x now... but really need a support for ISO 9660 Level 3!! Thanks!

X still does not mount UDF -- PC DireectCD uses this format, so do the Sony Mavica CD cameras. The only way I ccan read those CD's is to boot into 9 and have this installed

great! I needed to access some MP3 CDs burned on my PC, and they were instantly accessible after installation. This is after many failed attempts with other solutions. Thanks! Wish you the best...
