GREAT APP.. This is really an application for a "server" mac... There are two ways to use it: 1) you have a server (appleshareIP, Webstar, EIMS whatever..) and you run this little application on it. your server can now act as an internet message board. 2) you have an old and tired ppc or a 68k and this program can make it dedicated message board. It is GREAT to have a scrolling board that people can change by just accessing it with a browser.. LED boards can cost over $1000 and few can be configured from the internet. This APP works especially well in a user support enviroment where you want to share info with a body of people.. place it on your file server and keep the monitor visable.. and you can send messages to users like "we will be upgrading your version of Quark at 4:00 today.. leave your machines on" or broader messages like "BGP Router being rebooted, internet access will be distrupted for 10 minutes" or of course "Quake frag tournament on for today at 5:30, all may enter.. few will live"... I support a few servers remotely via Timbuktu (through the internet) and find that I like to have Yada running on these servers so I can send messages to the users in one broad stroke.. it is a very cool app..
