Product Description:

A-Dock is a bit like Mac OS X's dock. It acts as an application switcher and an application launcher It's separated in 3 zones - your favorite applications you've added by drag&drop (left part) - the other applications running on your computer (middle part) - the trash (right part). You can minimized A-Dock to just a small bar to save space on your screen. This bar auto-pops out when you move the mouse inside and minimizes again when you move the mouse outside. But of course if you have a big screen, you can leave it opened. A-Dock is stuck to the screen edges. Switching your monitor resolution will not move the dock to a place you don't want like the App Switcher does everytime I play Quake 2. The dock can be positionned everywhere on the sceen edges. Just grab it and drag it !!

What's new in this version:

  • new exclusion lists to select a different behavior for some applications
  • exclusion lists are not longer limited to 10 entries
  • new power-user shortcut to quit or hide applications in a single clic
  • an option to choose if A-Dock will play sounds

A-Dock ReviewIt's fine, It's free, but it says otherwise :-) - Version: 3.0, 9/2/2005 09:29PM PST

dmland
At the top of the control panel, it says "v3.0/Freeware"

In the text of the Info tab of the control panel, it says:

"Please note that A-Dock is not a ree product"

Other than that, it's a very fine piece of software that makes useful my Mac OS X- and Windows XP-induced habit of slamming the mouse down to the bottom of the screen to see what's running and to switch apps.

Very nicely done, Jérome!

A-Dock ReviewA few things… - Version: 2.8.5, 4/17/2003 07:18PM PST

I'd like to hopefully see in the future; 1) customizing icons for favourites, 2) being able to rename favourites, rather than having the default app name, 3) when clicking a second time on "reveal desktop", brings back all hidden items. Overall great app.

A-Dock ReviewUnqualified 5 stars.… - Version: 2.8.5, 3/19/2003 06:02AM PST

Great app, does exactly what it says and then some, and the author kindly and quickly answered my questions within 1 day. This app will go a long way to ease the suffering of those who have to split their time between OS X and OS 9 or earlier. Registered without hesitation.
