I'd like to hopefully see in the future; 1) customizing icons for favourites, 2) being able to rename favourites, rather than having the default app name, 3) when clicking a second time on "reveal desktop", brings back all hidden items. Overall great app.

Great app, does exactly what it says and then some, and the author kindly and quickly answered my questions within 1 day. This app will go a long way to ease the suffering of those who have to split their time between OS X and OS 9 or earlier. Registered without hesitation.

below: uh, the icon-dimming -is- an option. "Keep track of application visibility" -- it's right in the first pane. As for huggebear: 'Your IQ Must Be This Tall To Ride.' A-Dock is badass, just like me :)

very hand application. Much better than Action GoMac. I will buy it but I would really like to see the mouse delay problem fixed. If I remeber right, the readme with version 2.8.4 says that it is fixed but on my dual gig G4 (MacOS 9.2.2) I still get a launch delay until I move the mouse. I also do not like the dimmed icons in the new version. I do not get the logic behind the idea of dimming them. It just makes the icons harder to find. It does not help the user in any way. Please make this a user option. Keep up the good work!

: dimmed icons are for hidden apps (as in Mac OS 9) and Running apps have a triangle under the icons (as in Mac OS X Dock).

The day this gem arrives on X: that's the day I bid adieu to 9. "I'm a bad mofo and -I- use A-Dock. ...whap!@#"

It does some things Mac OS X's dock doesn't do, but Mac OS X's dock does some things it can't do (and I wouldn't expect it to be able to because A-Dock's a third party while Mac OS X's is built in). All in all, this is an excellent utility.
In the text of the Info tab of the control panel, it says:
"Please note that A-Dock is not a ree product"
Other than that, it's a very fine piece of software that makes useful my Mac OS X- and Windows XP-induced habit of slamming the mouse down to the bottom of the screen to see what's running and to switch apps.
Very nicely done, Jérome!
