DVD 2.7 my DVDs play for about 10 seconds and then the screen freezes. I'm trying to downgrade back to DVD 2.2 without success.

1.3 does not support USB audio output. You need to use analog output (minijack). Like I said below, Apple is screwing customers with their buy-a-new-Mac-every-year-or-get-left-out-in-the-cold software updating scheme.

Ceasing support for older systems sucks. Apple is making crappy software and leaving their customers out to dry. For shame.
