good for me since I broke down and read their instructions and played a little on my own. Yes, Kent1 it can be tremendously slow if you check all of the protocals to stop - but really now, anyone needing that much protection should have hardware protection. Once I unchecked the needless parts of the wall my machine was back to mach 1. I only use "protect against port scane" "Protect against intrusion attemts," and Allow PORT mode FTP transfers."

and it has some useful features but it really slows everything. Since I stopped using it have had no "Bus errors or bombs" in 9.2.2, probably because did clean install without NetBarrier I have also tried Norton Personal Firewall and that keeps interupting normal surfing. NO, IN MY OPINION I PNETSENTRY IS SUPERIOR TO BOTH. Never intrudes, does NOT slow you down, haven't needed any support so far and the Traceroute feature is interesting, seeing where you have been pinged from. According to SHIELDS UP (https://grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2) my Mac is totally invisible in STEALTH mode. Take my advice and get I PNet Sentry (http://www.sustworks.com/site/prod_ipns_overview.html) Ken Australia
