Product Description:

SFX Machine is an award-winning Premiere-format audio effects plug-in for PowerMacs. It has long been regarded as one of the most powerful, easy-to-use sound mangling appliances on the market. It is now available direct from the author at a fraction of the original price.

SFX Machine 1.5x has eliminated the key disk, challenge/response copy protection. More importantly, it sounds better than ever. The new version uses double-precision variables for computations and delay lines, for less noise, more transparency. In addition, SFX Machine 1.5x is now optimized for G4s.

What's new in this version:

SFX Machine 1.55 is a bug-fix update for increased reliability.

SFX is everything it's said to be. I'm a paid owner. But the limited 16 bit Premiere format seems to be going bye-bye with OS X. So this update, in 2002, almost a year after 1.50, is less than I'd expected (but I do appreciate it!). I really hope Earl is reading up on AudioSuite, HTDM, VST, CoreAudio Objects, or some other format which we'll be using next year. We need you, man! Can't keep OS 9 around forever just to run SFX Machine at 16 bits...

plugin! I hope it doesn't go away and becomes OSX native. This is the type of tool I want to use for at least the next 10 years :) Please lets see a port , PLEASE !
