Single tool that bravely handles all your audio playing needs, now rebuilt from the ground up. Play your Audio CDs, your MP3s, and your streaming network audio, and now encode, edit, mix, sort and manage, visualize and hypnotize.

What's new in this version:

Added CD burning support! Audion, with the help of Toast, can now create audio CDs from your MP3s. A new Burn icon has been added to the playlist toolbar. Burning requires Roxio Toast 5.0.2 or higher. Burning is not yet compatible with Mac OS X.
Added Maximizer effect plug-in (Thanks, Evan!) This helps audio to be normalized while playing back, avoiding sudden heart-stopping loud songs or flower-swayingly quiet songs.
Added Echo effect plug-in. (Plug-in.. plug-in..)
Integrated dock tile menu on Mac OS X 10.1 -- "dockling" no longer necessary.
Greatly improved playlist window resizing speed under Mac OS X, especially Mac OS X 10.1
Added the ability to manage the plug-ins in the Audion application bundle. To do so, select Audion in the Finder, choose "Show Info" from the File menu, and select "Plugins" from the pop-up menu.
Automatically switches users from outdated CDDB to FreeDB server settings. This should have happened in 2.5, but we missed it. This is also required to make disc info submissions work correctly.
A bug that caused the Mac OS X version to suddenly stop playing in the middle of a song with the song timer stopped, but all other program features still available, is believed to be fixed. But, to be honest, we're not entirely convinced.
Fixed inability to eject CD from Audion while it is playing on Mac OS X.
Fixed a small memory leak in the WMA decoder.
New preferences option allows you to optionally disable the automatic launching of iTunes when a CD is inserted on Mac OS X 10.1. By default, this behavior will be disabled when Audion 2.6 is first run.
Playlist selections now appear in user's preferred highlight color on Mac OS X.
Now handles HTTP 302 redirects in net streams (live365.com's streams all redirect).
Fixed a bug that caused TWO new control windows to appear on Mac OS X when you selected "New Control Window" from the File menu.
Fixed problem with control window not being able to scroll CD information on Mac OS X.
Fixed "new playlist window creep".
Fixed a problem where Audion would not launch if an older "NomadJukeboxLib" was installed.
Many many more bug fixes and tweaks, which have been lost to the ether due to a mis-placed release notes file.
