Have Your Windows Buds Tell Yahoo

I could list a half dozen programs that recognize my camera without a problem. Yahoo, can't even find my cam, let alone send anoything to anybody. I just tell all Windows users that tried to get me to use Yahoo to complain. Yahoo doesn't seem to care about Mac users at all. Maybe if they get enough complaints from their PC users.....
Contacted Yahoo support - Version: 2.5.3, 4/16/2004 08:57AM PST

This version of Yahoo Messenger is buggy. It is a shame they put out such a
software for their users. I have only recently switched from a PC to Mac. I love
everything about my Mac except poor software support. To be fair, I can always
use ichat and talk to my AOL buddies, except I have none. Most of my friends
are on Yahoo and some on MSN. At school, I use OS 9.1 with a previous
version of Yahoo. It has less features but it is certainly more stable. This perticular
version keeps logging me out for no reason. Also, I think it is horrible that
they don't have audio chat on the so-called 'latest' version of yahoo. I wish
ichat worked with Yahoo! instead of AOL. I contacted Yahoo! about audio
chat last week. They say 'We know there is a strong interest from the Mac
community for this feature, but currently we have no schedule for such a
feature'. Ridiculous! I have not paid for any of the Yahoo! services until now,
but I would willingly pay $5 a month if they were offering high-quality
audio-video chat with customer support.

For one, Why cant I create an alias for my buddies? some of friends have obsure usernames, this should be a basic thing.
Secondly, while I can view others web cams, why cant I talk using my mike and speakers. I mean every G3 Mac + has them built-in I think its a simple ask that the mac version be at least withing coey of the windows one.
Can anyone recommend another client that does have these features on Mac OSX?
