fee that the developer "can't afford," by the way, costs 23 cents per copy sold. (There's also a $1 fee due at license inception.) To avoid paying a license fee for unregistered downloads, you just make the GIF export function available only to registered users.

We would love to support GIF. . . obviously it would greatly increase our sales. While Jerry Kindall may be technically correct, he fails to mention that the first $1500 in fees must be paid to Unisys up front and is non-refundable. We have yet to make that much total on WebButtons. We have checked with them *twice*. We really, honestly, cannot afford to support GIF.

JPEG formats support in WebButtons? So what, people! Anyone using a powerful web design app like the amazing Freeway 3 (www.softpress.com) can import these two formats direct (and many others too), change them GIF on the fly, and optimize them for size!
