I've been using a wacom for over 7 years. Never really having problems before Jaquar... I just upgraded to Panther and I tried using the tablet with an iBook G3 - nothing to do... This is the most desapointing thing, I liked the product, I am highly use to it but the people at Wacom are just not up to it anymore.

First of all, I'm using driver version 4.7.7-8, which isn't even listed in the VersionTracker menus. I've used a 18x24 Wacom tablet for over a year with only a few minor problems. Perhaps once in 50 startups, the tablet won't work and I have to restart. I installed Panther (Mac OS X v10.3) a couple of weeks ago and everything appears to be working just great. Had one failed startup at the beginning, but that is all. I love the mouse and the pen -- they make using my graphic applications so much more interesting and adaptable.
works fine for me...

Im using a graphire tablet pen and mouse in an OS 9 production environment. I installed the wacom sw and got it running in one reboot. It has no problems in any of my graphic apps (Photoshop 7, Quark 4-5, Illustrator 10). I am also using it a lot in the finder in Microsoft office, and in Internet Explorer and my other day to day activities and it runs just fine. I like the options for the graphire mouse and my graphire pen is a natural extension to my hand in Photoshop. i couldnt live without it. The software is top notch.
(I have also installed the OSX version of the sw on my G4 powerbook and used it in Jaguar and in Panther, pen tablet and mouse work with no problems, and the handwriting in the finder and open applications is a fun distraction, works well, but not a good day to day thing) One thing I will say as a mac tech, if you install an extension and control panel and start having issues with OS 9 and you are surprised and angry, well thats why OS X is the new environment. I am a huge fan of installing anything and everything that comes across my path (kaleidoscope, graviton, all the desktop, finder, font and theme haxies you can name) and when I have trouble with a control panel or extension, I know who to blame for the crashing.
