Product Description:

SndSampler is a simple-to-use yet powerful sound editing application.

Supports 8 and 16-bit, mono/stereo, sample rates up to 64 kHz
Extracts/saves sound resources from/to any file or application
Allows you to record audio data directly to your hard drive so you can create sounds bigger than RAM (great for dictation or making audio CDs)
AIFF segmenting for working on sounds that are bigger than RAM (great for making audio CDs)
Imports CD audio directly from the CD (use "Import" from the File menu)
Imports/exports: Sun, NeXT, WAVE, QuickTime movies, raw audio, ASCII text, more
Extensive batch processing capabilities: just drop all 800 files you want to downsample (for example) onto SndSampler's icon while holding down the command (Apple) key
Automatic batch import ("ripping") of multiple CD audio tracks (see manual please)
Allows synching of sounds to QuickTime movies via a simple movie editor
Data compression: MACE 3:1, MACE 6:1, u-Law 2:1, A-Law 2:1, IMA 4:1, more

Can you believe it? After all this time SndSampler is still not a Universal Binary app. Yet the developer wants $40 for it. Dream on!

For the money this developer needs to step up their game. It's not polished, it's ugly, and non-intuitive. Version 6? Really?

When there's free or cheaper versions of what you are developing it better be very competitive and fun to use if you're going to charge for it.

Audacity is an audio editor too and is a bit more intuitive, almost as ugly but completely FREE! And it works very well.

C'mon developers! Step up your game!
