update my old rating and say that snak is bloated, and shadow irc will always rule because of its lightness!!!! i just wish there were more shadowirc plugins

wonderful app. My only complaint is that the plugin page is horribly outdated. But the app itself is just amazingly great. It's stable and it had tons of features, and it's free! what more could you ask for?

favorite irc client for a year, then i fianlly tried snak. snak is alot for organized and does not lock up like shadow does on occasions. i am a heavy dcc user and snak does it for me. but if you dont do alot of dcc i highly suggest shadow because it is so light

not abandoned. There is now a team of coders working on it. There will just no longer be 1.1 series. I know they are working on coding a version for OS X at the moment. I see the creater and others talk about it constantly. Never AssUMe. :)

"open source" which means that it is abandoned by the author. It would be great if someone else took over the development but no one has. This client showed potential, but it is now dead. R.I.P. Use Snak instead. Search for Snak here on versiontracker.

im an absolute convert. I used to think mIRC was horrible when i used Ircle, now I see Ircle is horrible compared to ShadowIRC. If you're tired of waiting 20 seconds for a server's motd to scroll by or to see a large netsplit here's the solution. Shadowirc offers the most extensive and flexible feature set ive ever seen in an IRC client, WITHOUT turning into bloatware ala Ircle or B*tchX, IrcII.

in God, I'd say "Well thank ya God, you finally sent me something I can live with!" But seriously folks, if you are using ircle, or one of those other `chat` clients, give this one a whirl. apex (the guy who made the two posts underneath this) tried 2 years to make me switch over from ircle to shirc, and boy am i glad i finally did. Try it yourself ;]

Needs more sounds like Ircle has. But Ircle is just so slow. I want ShadowIRC to have a better UI, like more buttons and stufft. Still needs some features..
