Product Description:
- TwistedFLAC makes all your FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) files visible as WAV files for applications that don't support this format.
- WAV files saved in the TwistedFLAC folder are automatically encoded, and saved as FLAC files.

Just converts a FLAC file to a WAVE format, there are better tools for doing this (xACT and XLD for one).

Very useful app. FLAC is my lossless file format of choice but, as we all know, iTunes doesn't support or recognize FLAC files. Now I can have iTunes (or any other app that plays wav files) recognize and play my FLAC files.

Here is a brilliant freeware application alternative:
xACT

There are other related FLAC apps at VersionTracker. Just search for 'FLAC'.
BTW: There is no excuse for Apple not tossing direct FLAC support into QuickTime and iTunes and iPods. The format is Open Source. Very naughty Apple. I've been ranting about this deficiency for over three years. The entire world uses FLAC as THE lossless audio compression standard. The Apple Lossless format is never, ever used except to inflict DRM (digital rights manglement) into a lossless file.
To further rant: Why has no one (to my knowledge) come up with an actually functional FLAC QuickTime Component? There used to be a terrible old component for PPC Macs. It was abandoned. The FLAC support in the Xiph QuickTime Component is essentially useless as it requires using the Ogg file format. Ugg.
