Wow, $40. Or you could use the open-source NTFS-3G. It easily installs in your Preferences pane and copying to a NTFS volume is seamless.

Paragon NTFS Troubleshooting ReportBloody marvellous (in the sarcastic sense) - Version: 6.5, 5/1/2008 10:50AM PST

Some time after installing this I find a corrupted Unix executable related specifically to NTFS for Mac OS X.

I do not consider this to be at all acceptable in an application which plays with file systems and then dumps broken/corrupted files in usr. I therefore deleted the app and requested my money to be refunded.

I take back my five stars until Paragon sort this out.

The tools to aid Boot Camp just get better and better - But why can't Apple provide this interoperable file systems seamlessness for free? After all, Mr. Jobs did harp on with promises of dozens of secret features in Leopard which never materialised upon release)

Paragon NTFS ReviewGreat NTFS support! - Version: 6.5, 4/28/2008 09:30AM PST

The app works flawlessly for me. Very nice indeed to finally be able to read-write/repair NTFS drives.

The only thing that's missing is a way to quickly find which version is installed on your Mac and update the product.

Paragon NTFS Usage TipNTFS - Version: 6.0, 4/4/2008 09:40PM PST

As of 10.5, mount_ntfs is available as part of 10.5. In theory ntfs drives should(!) mount automagically... Go to /Applications/Utilities/Terminal and type man mount_ntfs to see how to use. This is standard Unix stuff so all should be straight forward...
Command should look something like mount_ntfs /dev/diskxsy /Volumes/myNTFSDriveName where x and y are related to drive and partition numbers. Haven't tried this specifically as I don't have an NTFS disc to test. Type df to look at the mount map. Interested to hear any results.

The "black hole" of NTFS was driving me crazy. I installed it, and it works invisibly. No complicated setup, etc.

Anyone running Bootcamp, or possibly a virtual machine can use this. I've had no conflicts using it, and it hasn't noticeably slowed my mac at all. Best of all it's totally transparent. Install it and then you can suddenly read and write NTFS (Windows) disks when booted in the Mac OS. It also adds the ability to format as NTFS to Disk Utility. I bought this since MacDrive wouldn't work with my 64-Bit Vista. Since I couldn't use Mac disks in Windows, I figured I'd use Windows disks in the Mac OS. So far it's working great.

Yes, I know this opens up my Mac drives to Windows viruses, but then again so does any other method such as MacDrive, folder sharing, etc. I keep BitDefender updated in Vista and VirusBarrier updated in Leopard. No problems.

I'd highly recommend this for any Bootcampers, VMers, or anyone wanting to write to NTFS disks while in the Mac OS.

Nope, I have no affiliation to Paragon. Check my previous numerous posts.

I discovered that Mac OS X cannot write to NTFS volumes - it can only read from them. I then discovered that Windows XP has lost the ability to read or write to HFS+ drives (Windows 2000 had it). Well, I found Paragon’s tool and found it very productive and quite fast.
