Product Description:

IPNetTuner (formerly OTAdvancedTuner) is a simple control panel like application that allows you to optimize TCP/IP network performance under Macintosh Open Transport by tuning internal TCP/IP parameters to match your network environment, getting the most speed from your connection. IPNetTuner supports over 30 adjustable parameters including the TCP Window Size, Time Out intervals, Maximum Segment Size, and MTU. You can save your settings in IPNetTuner settings documents and invoke them each time you startup by placing the corresponding document in your Startup Items folder. As currently implemented, IPNetTuner is best suited for configurations where TCP/IP is permanently loaded since there is no automatic way to remember custom settings when TCP/IP is unloaded (TCP should not be set to "load only when needed" as commonly used for dial-up connections).

What's new in this version:

Fixed bug with ARP table which may have overwritten the table causing IPNetTuner to crash. This could happen in situations where the Macintosh running IPNetTuner was connected to a private LAN with several hundred machines attached.
Fixed bug with the Local Target popup menu.

install and no hassle setting it up - just drag an alias of the relevent config file to your start-up items folder - or double click whenever u need it. Transfer speeds over broadband and my local network have increased around 10/20% (broadband) and around 30-50% (LAN). i am VERY impressed - so glad i registered:-) Thank you Sustainable Works!!!
