Product Description:

Mt. Everything is a freeware Control Panel designed to help you manage your SCSI bus(es) and the devices such as hard disks you have connected to it.

What's new in this version:

Mt. Everything 1.5.5 fixes a possibly crashing bug when it tried to load a driver from disk and the driver was larger than 32K. This bug was due to a compiler bug (the compiler violated type conversion rules according to ANSI C standard) and caused Mt. Everthing to allocate a memory buffer too small to hold the driver and then corrupting the computer's main memory when loading the driver into the far too small buffer. This bug affected the 68K version only but appearantly already existed in version 1.5.3. Fortunately most existing disk drivers still fit into 32K, otherwise I probably would have been flamed with bug reports.

Mt. Everything Commentarya definate keeper! - Version: 1.5.5, 5/12/2003 07:35AM PST

I'm running 10.1 on a beige G3 as a file/web server. IT had been running perfectly for over a year without a restart. A power outage crashed the internal SCSI boot drive hard. Nothing would mount this drive (apple, norton, disk warrior, scsi probe) which had been backed up 12 hours prior. Before calling a data recovery company I tried Mt Everything using it's driver. Viola!!, I got the drive back!. Simple and Effective.

using Mt. Everything since waaaaay back. Throw out your other OS 9 drive mounting utils, this one is the best. Congratulations Horst on finally pinning down that driver size bug! Rock solid now.

Mt Everything does mount everything, particularly a 36gb IBM LVD drive that sometimes won't to mount at startup. Thanks for the update to an already great product.
