Product Description:

The Macintosh port of the VIM (Vi IMproved) editor.

Vim 5.7 runtime this archive contains the runtime files needed for Vim 5.7. It has not changed since the 5.7.2 distribution.

What's new in this version:

Updated to patchlevel 9 with an additional patch for virtual column number ($v). It uses the UNIX memory management calls simulated by STDLIB instead of the MemoryManager calls. This is a little bit slower but has the advantage that it actually works:-) You no longer need to enlarge the memory partition, I have succesfully edited a 3 MB file with the default memory setting.

completement abscond je cherche juste un editeur de text qui mette des couleurs sur le code php ou html mais ya rien et ce truc est une vraie horreur impossible de quitter l'application aucun support bref je ne vois absolument pas d'ou peuvent sortir toutes ces etoiles bleues...

(It's a feature! ;-) The runtime archive contains the files for the online help and the syntax files which are needed for colorizing texts in various (programming) languages. Therefore this archive is not included with the binary to make the download smaller. This allows to download a new binary without the need to downlaod the syntax files - see? More info on "Vim on MacOS" is on the page: http://www.vim.org/macs.html New features of the next major version of Vim: Vim-6 will have support for Unicode and "folding" which lets you hide blocks of text so you can work on structured text more easily. Chedck it out! :-)
