Macromedia SoundEdit 16 ReviewIt still works… - Version: 2.0.7, 11/19/2002 02:41PM PST

in Classic mode under 10.2.2. There are problems with it playing a selection - the last fraction of a second gets chopped off. Since I'm familiar with this program, I just account for that and it works perfectly. I wish they would come out with a version for X. That's the only reason it didn't receive 5 stars.

editing program, but Sound Manager 3.6.7 (supplied with QuickTime 5.02) causes SoundEdit 16 to crash on launch.

Macromedia SoundEdit 16 ReviewWorking with audio… - Version: 2.0.7, 11/19/2001 04:11AM PST

on a daily base, i've been using SoundEdit from version 1 because of it's great interface. It simply is the BEST audio editing software around. tested dozens of simular but nothing can compete. It's so easy to shape your audio once you know all the shortcuts, It truly is my 3rd hand. There are a few annoying features like not being able to cancel screen build-ups but once you know how to work around that, there is no comparison. OSX lacking something like SoundEdit is the main reason i'm still working on OS9.
