Web site (Nov. 01): "The Director 8.5 Shockwave Studio is not supported on Macintosh operating system version OS X (10). This holds true for both the standard OS X and the "Classic" mode. Authoring on this platform has proven unstable and will result in slow performance and unpredictable results. Macromedia is actively working to resolve this outstanding issue. " Um, time to look up "actively" in the dictionary, or perhaps admit it's dead like Fontographer.

slow to adopt OSX support. Adobe has almost every main product carbonized already. There's no excuse. Also, I agree with the expensive upgrade pricing so soon, just horrible.

DARE Macromedia charge for the update--or at least not charge so much. Designers and developers needed to purchase 8.0 at $1,000 for each platform, then of course you must have the lates Flash as well...then less then a year later they do it all over again. 3d is nice but not worth a repurchase of the program especially with what Macormedia charges!
