Logitech MouseWare Review4.0.6 STILL has BUG: Unresponsive after Restart - Version: 4.0.6, 10/16/2003 12:33PM PST

Lysergic131
Mouseware 4.0.6 STILL has the same bug mentioned by others regarding Mouseware 4.0.5: After restart, the cursor/trackball would not always respond, even though trackball power indicator lights are active. Happens about 60% + of the time. Unplug trackball from keyboard, re-plug in would fix... Temporarily until next restart... So I try MW 4.0.6, exact same problem! Have carefully troubleshot to try to identify if there are any conflicting extensions, etc ( I am a Mac Tech), but NO, this bug is entirely within MouseWare... Running TrackMan Wheel (USB, to Keyboard to CPU, not via Hub) on OS 9.1, G3 466, exquisitely maintained

Logitech MouseWare ReviewWish it included a "Back" button - Version: 4.0.6, 7/30/2003 08:02PM PST

Love the ergonomics of the Logitech First Mouse Wheel. Just wish it included a "Back" button option (such as using the right button for going "back" in a browser).

read your review SuperMatt, when you give the version ONE STAR and you haven't even tried it! Goof! Regarding having to resort to a share app to get the "wheel to work", don't know what you're doing jram, but my Logitech mice (on 12 Macs in our office) ALL Work with their wheels. Just cause YOU don't know how to set it up, or your extentions are screwed up, don't blame the company! Logitech has be more faithful than most companies would be for a platform that only has 4% market share and most users prefer a single button mouse; quit b!tch!n!

to resort to shareware Overdrive to get the wheel to work. It's time to catch up, Logitech! You release a long awaited update, and it STILL sucks.L

tools. Systems crashes at startup when FWB starts diagnostic with "unimplemented trap". Disabling Mouseware extension necessary. No problem with earlier release.

9.2.2] Works great for me. I love the Webwheel app. In case you don't know, you can re-assign the right 5 buttons to any url you want by right-clicking on them. I'm convinced the left 5 buttons can be configured with ResEdit to any applescript command, including iTunes controls, which would be much more useful than browser navigation.

start my mouse will initially work, but once the OS fully boots the mouse stops responding. On a Restart works fine. Went back to MouseWare 4.0.3 which does work on a power-up. Mac OS 9.2.2 on a PM 9600 with a Cordless MouseMan Optical M-RM63/C-BA4-MSE combo.

some other folks--works great, but after reboot, my mouse is competely dead. But if i unplug and replug, works just fine. Overdrive 1.3.7 made no difference. I guess the unplugging is a workaround, but it's sure friggin annoying. Running 9.2.2 on a G4 450.
