Power64 emulates all important features of a real C-64 such as:
  • MOS 6510 CPU Emulation (incl. Illegal Opcodes)
  • VIC (VideoIC) Emulation (Cycle Precision, incl. all Video Modes, Sprites, Soft-Scrolling, Raster Interrupts, Sprite Collision, Open Top/Bottom/Left/Right Borders)
  • SID (SoundID) Emulation (incl. Waveforms, Envelopes (ADSR), Ring-Modulation, Synchronisation, Samples; excl. Filters, Resonance)
  • Interface to the reSID Library by Dag Lem, that offers almost 100% precise SID Emulation (incl. Filters, Resonance)
  • CIA Emulation (incl. Timers, Interrupts, Time of Day, Alarm)
  • Optional Original C64 Keyboard Layout or Macintosh Keyboard Layout
  • Joysticks (both via real ADB/USB Joysticks and Keyboard mapping), Paddles and Lightpen emulated
  • CPU Level 1541 Floppy Disk Emulation. Can handle most fast-loaders and special floppy tricks
  • ROM Level 1541 Disk Drive emulated (*.D64, *.X64 and ZipCode files supported) for fast and easy disk access
  • Direct Access to Macintosh File System (both *.C64 and *.P00 files supported)
  • Tape Drive (Datasette) emulated (*.T64 and Lynx files)
  • TapeDisk:
    • .T64 and Lynx files can also be used on disk drives
    • Automatic expansion of ZIP, GZ and LHA compressed Disk or Tape images. No need to expand compressed images from CD-ROM to harddisk. Just run them from the CD
  • Printer Emulation (Text only)

What's new in this version:

  • Power64 no longer suffers from a bug that caused trouble when an already mounted disk had to be unmounted when a new disk image was inserted into a virtual disk drive
  • The COPY command of the 1541 disk drive now no longer cuts of the first bytes of each file.
  • All links in the documenation have been checked and updated.

Power64 ReviewSuperior Product...Always HAS Been! - Version: 4.6, 3/11/2004 10:00AM PST

Online Since 1987
Have been using various versions of this for many years, and it's the "GraphicConverter" of its class. Too bad there's such low demand for this magnificent piece of work (apparently). Thanks for the years (I'm a registered user, by the way).
