Mac's pull-off application palette. Can be used as a launcher for apps, documents, folders, etc. Flexible and compact. My favorite feature is key-command access to the folder or info box of any app on the bar. Also includes a nice multi-clipboard feature.

other launcher I've seen so far, HoverBar can launch any Finder item as well as objects from drag'n'drop-friendly application. For example, you can drag a picture from a HTML page to the HoverBar Photoshop icon! A must-have for all Mac users. I my opinion, HoverBar should be included in Mac OS as part of the system; I just couldn't live without it =)
