Product Description:

Weblog Poster publishes messages to a weblog that supports either the Blogger API or the MetaWeblog API. Weblog Poster has been tested with Radio UserLand, Movable Type, and Blogger. To publish a message, simply create a new window, fill in the server information, compose the message, and publish it. A substitution glossary makes it easy to add links to a message. Just drag a link to the glossary field of a message, name the link, and then refer to the link in a message with the name enclosed in double-quotes. Weblog Poster automatically performs the link substitution when publishing the message. There is also a persistent global glossary that is shared among all messages. Weblog Poster supports message drafts and message editing. Before a message is published, it can be saved for later editing and published. After a message is published, it can be saved, edited, and republished.

What's new in this version:

  • Support for Draft and Final publishing options.
  • Better preview with working links.
  • Support for a Drafts folder.
  • Support for Movable Type's trackback feature.
  • Ability to see server response messages.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

Weblog Poster CommentaryWorks, but unanswered questions - Version: 1.3, 5/13/2003 01:18PM PST

grand wahzoo
Back on April 27th I tried this tool (version 1.2) on Radio, and then emailed the developer:

I got it, got your docs page on screen, set it up, and it worked the first time, no glitches. So thanks, it makes my life easier. But one thing I didn't see in the docs was if one has to have Radio running for your tool to work. I could just quit Radio and try that, but if it works, then what happens with my local copy of Radio files. Does it auto-synch next time I run Radio?
Sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm new to Radio and of course to your tool.

____________
But actually there was a glitch, so then a second email to him minutes later:
____________
I'm using iCab, and I dragged the URL off the address bar into the bottom link glossary. Here's what I dragged:
http://www.yahoo.com

Then, I didn't notice that somehow the tool converted it to:
http://www.yahoo.com Ô Yahoo

Here's how it came out in the Radio post, which of course doesn't work:
http://www.yahoo.com [apple] Yahoo

Maybe this is just an iCab glitch?

__________

I haven't heard back from him as of today, May 13th.
