retards. Navies use this "game" to train CIC officers and ratings. What you just experienced was as close to reality as you'll get... without joining up: pity the poor b****ds who do it for real.

you (and I hope we aren't BOTH retards!). I've read the manuals, bought and read the Jim DeGoey book, and no matter how many times I try, I have the same experience: nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing for about half an hour, then my fleet is sunk in about 20 seconds. Does anyone have any tips on how this thing works? I even like Larry Bond's books...8

around for years. I bought the full shebang on CD back in my old PC days. I was so ready to enjoy a game with depth and challenege... But oh my god! the game play!. Basically you sit & nothing happens for a l -o-n-g time & then suddenly heaps of incoming missiles start rainig down & your fleet is kaput. No amount of manual reading, plotting & scheming changed this pattern. Am I a retard of something? Try as I might I just can't seem to get any decent game play out of this impressiely deatiled sim.
