Product Description:

Have you ever used BeOS? Remember that screensaver that draws icons on the screen in random sizes to prevent burn in? Well, the Mac OS has some interesting icons, too. SystemSaver is an application-based screensaver. When it sleeps, it digs out all the icons it can find in the system file then randomly picks one to draw on the screen every few seconds or so.
Of course, it has all the standard features (sleep corner, sleep now, never sleep, and sleep after n minutes). It can also handle multiple monitors! (At least, it seems to work fine for my 2 monitor setup). Plus, it has something I've never seen in any other screensaver - a progress bar indicates how long you've been idle and when the system will sleep.

What's new in this version:

  • Added ability to select more than one sleep-now and sleep-never corner.
  • Fixed an issue where moving the moving the mouse may not halt the screensaver on multiple display setups.
  • Fixed an issue where the screen saver would not draw icons on displays other than the main screen.
  • Fixed an issue with remembering user preferences after the screen saver is quit.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS Classic

Additional Requirements:

  • IdleTime extension from Frontier (If you've got AOL Instant Messenger, you've already got this)
  • PPC or 68k
  • System 7.5 through 9.2.2.

on 9.2.2, but it works really good when you activate it manually. I can't get the "sleep now" corner to activate the screen saver. I like like the way it looks though.

bug in this version. After the screensaver has activated about 10 times (maybe fewer times depending on your setup), it runs out of memory internally and quits. I'm working on a fix for this! -Andrew
