File RoundUp combines the fastest cataloger and the most powerful search function available, and batch file capabilities to provide the ultimate file utility. File RoundUp is over twice as fast as CDFinder and DiskTracker on Jaguar, and even faster than that on OS 9.

Besides being the fastest, File RoundUp also offers many capabilities not available elsewhere, including:

update function (shows changes since last scan)
picks up OS X comments
more powerful search capabilities
file contents comparison
"flat" file list as well as hierarchical
batch rename
multimedia display in general purpose catalog utility
ability to save complex searches in Search Sets and distribute to other users

Many other functions are brought together in File RoundUp Pro that otherwise require numerous individual utilities. Combined with File RoundUp's powerful tools for finding and selecting files from throughout your storage media, this gives you far greater power than the individual utilities provide.

What's new in this version:

added support for display of images for MP3 files
added support for collection of standard tags for for MP3 files (title, artist, album, track, year, comments), ID3 version 1 and version 2 (More support to come in later versions)
added PayPal as payment method
added support for quick-help. Holding down the option and control keys will display the help tag for the item under the cursor. If the cursor is over the file name of an MP3 file, it will display the Title, Artist, Album and Year from the ID3 tags of the file, if available.
changed to minimize CPU usage while playing movies or sounds
changed Image Browser to display long file names
fixed bug that caused an erroneous report of a corrupted list after performing Move of files. List wasn't actually corrupted, just intermediate stage appeared that way before completion of the function.
fixed bug with drag of a selected folder to a folder already selected in the Finder
fixed bug where, when a long volume name is scanned, it's name is used for subsequent volumes scanned (bug introduced in 2.5.0)
fixed bug that placed new list file in the parent of the intended folder (bug introduced in 2.5.0)
fixed bug with display of file caption when displaying movie controller
fixed possible crash bug after scan and save list
