you have a start-up document for the Aquarium in your OS 9 system folder and launch Classic, the application will launch and then fail (quit) quietly (no dialog). If you try to launch the OS 9 version directly when running OS X (double click the app), you'll get a dialog telling you to run the OS X version instead.
