don't know this already, dropping a disk or folder on a BBEdit window will paste a tree catalog of it. Tabs are used but you can replace them all with spaces or lines or whatever you want in a split second. So until this program offers more than an already existing feature, I'll only give it 3 stars for the effort. Suggested feature can be to filter out certain types of files, decide how many levels to go down in a hierarchy, deciding the styles of the tree (i.e bold for folders, italics for aliases, etc...)

as described and quickly, which in itself would earn 5 stars. However, as you may have noticed, SimpleText is severely limited in the size of the file it can open, and it is very easy to exceed that size. For that reason, I appreciate those authors who provide the opportunity to specify the creator of the output file. Yes, it is simple enough to drag the file onto a different text editor (e.g., BBEdit), but the ability to specify the output creator would be a nice thoughtful touch.
