You should do some research before buying software. Norton Anti-Virus 9.0 IS the current version for OS X and 7.0.2 was the last version for OS 9.2.2. If you try to use the 9.0 disk on a computer running OS 9, it will install the latest version for your OS, which is 7.0.2. By the way, Norton is no longer supporting 7.0.2 for OS 9, which is indeed a ripoff for all users still using OS 9, and on that point I DO agree with you. The best way to let them no that you disagree with their lack of support is to stop buying their products, and purchase a copy of Virex instead.

7.0.2 is a old product and is now being sold @ CompUSA as Norton Anti Virus 9.0 (but the software on the enclosed CD is actually 7.0.2 with all of the original bugs).

Symantec has no honor. Why isn't this fraud ??

the new Symantec Norton AntiVirus led to a hang after startup of my G4/400 MHz (AGP), i.e. the desktop was not completely build up. Only a restart by pushing the reset button was left. I found out that by moving the extension Auto Protect from the folder "extensions on" to the folder "extensions out" helped!
