Product Description:
Decodes several different audio formats (AC-3, QuickTime, MP3, AIFF, WAV, Audio CD) and converts to AIFF, MP3 (using LAME), or QuickTime, including MPEG-4 audio (AAC). Includes batch encoding, normalization, AC-3 channel splitting, and more! All code is free and open source.

Makes feel good that I'm sticking to good old 9.2.2 (and 10.3.9, a bit) instead of joining Apple's eternal upgrade race.

Can no longer split AC3 into discreet tracks in Tiger. Desperately needs to be fixed. Anybody else know how to split AC3 channels on a Mac?

Great - unfussy and does the job. More reliable than other audio decoders I've tried.
