Product Description:

Eject! is a simple, freeware, program that opens the CD tray on most Macintoshes. It is compatible with all pre-OS X Macs. I wrote it because I couldn't find the official Eject Application from Apple, and I wasn't about to pay $15 for a piece of shareware just so I could use an old keyboard (with the power-key that I need for access to MacsBug) with my new Mac. The C source code is also freely available.

What's new in this version:

Better error messages.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS Classic

Additional Requirements:

  • System 7 or higher

if it would do a "Put Away" first if there is a CD mounted. Otherwise, works great.

am using the ProTools Ikey with my new G4 and really hated not having the eject key to open the drive for me to put in a CD or DVD. THANK YOU!!! As for anyone complaining that it wont eject with a disc in the drive. It shouldn't, thats why you drag it to the trash can. :)
