This Mac OS 9 DVD Player update is for PowerBook G4 systems that feature either a 550 MHz or 667 MHz G4 Processor. It fixes an issue issue that occurs when using the DVD Player for extended periods or while using it simultaneously with other applications that use the graphics processor.

definately wrong with either the software or the DVD player in my brand new expensive G4 Titanium. Sniff. The same DVDs work perfectly on my older G4 450MP. And then there is that loud fan sound that turns on after a while on the PB. Enormously disturbing if you don't use earphones.

a Power Mac G4 733 and it to freezes with certain DVD always at the same place. I have 2 solutions but I do feel the software needs to be improved. 1- clean your DVD disk like crasy. 2- backtrack to right near the scene.
