whats going on, i plugged in the card and its goes in ox and 9 or 8.5 without any software. I put my 300mhz in a lame 233no cache wallstreet (not compadible according to manual if you go by the book) i recommend strongly for all wallstreets to get jaquar, another boost in speed for me.

idea what Sonnet Technologies is talking about here: "This Sonnet firmware update adjusts specific logic memory timing parameters on the Crescendo/WS processor upgrade card to fix operation instability resulting from installation of certain combinations of DIMM (RAM) modules. This firmware update also boosts the maximum supported memory on the Crescendo/WS from 192MB to 512MB." We tested the Crescendo G3 500 in an article back in June and had no problems as described above, with either different SDRAM modules from various Mfr., and we were running 512MB of RAM even before putting in the Crescendo daughter board upgrade! This all with the firmware provided back in June which predates v1.2.2.(http://homepage.mac.com/techedgeezine/cart_mac_pb1.html) This 192MB of maximum RAM in any G3 Mac (desktop, iMac or PowerBook) has always been pure fiction and was born out of Apple's laziness to test newer SDRAM designs after earlier products (Macs) were released.
