that Asante has not updated the firmware on this machine in almost a year. I know it works great, but it's annoying seeing the Linksys routers getting an update every few months with new features all the time. I prefer products that get better over time.

it. I just bought this router. Instructions are confusing. I'm using OS 10.1.3 & 9.2.2. Does this update to firmware mean I can not connect this router unless I install this? Also, I do not like the fact that I have to remove Earthlinks MacPoet software. I was thinking of using router to share DSL with iMac & iBookSE. Not sure now.

one problem. Anyone know why the upgrade attempt in the Asante window comes back with the error message when the 'fn25.bin' file is chosen 'Unallowable upgrade file' message comes on, therby preventing the upgrade from being completed?
