MetaReader - 1.1

MetaReader shows up under File>Export menu in Photoshop 6.0. The plug-in will read all standard meta data such as Photoshop 6.0 meta data, "File Info" meta data as well as EXIF "Public Fields" meta data.
Note: there are public and private text fields in the EXIF meta data standard. At this time, MetaReader can only display and export the public fields.
By default, MetaReader will display and export the text data to a single text file in "comma delimited" form within the same volume that the image resides. As an option, you can also append multiple individual meta data exports to a single log file. By default, when using the log option, MetaReader will create a text file named MetaReader.log on the desktop. You may rename this file after logging all the required files in a log session and MetaReader will create a new MetaReader.log file.
The meta data is exported in a comma delimited format that allows easy importing to data base applications. We will be offering a free FileMakerﾙ template for easy formatting and sorting.
The MetaReader is an "actionable" plug-in that allows the creation of batch operations and the creation of a recorded "Droplet".
We advise users to create a Photoshop action that embeds File Info meta data prior to running a MetaReader action. This allows users to put creator information into the file prior to exporting. Note: it is suggested that users refrain from using "comma" punctuation within the file Info text as this will trigger the creation of a new field.
