The only new features I noticed was the color of the in-game messages matches player color. A subtle but excellent little detail. Will Starcraft be updated for universal binary? Will it work on an intel Mac? While not necessary cutting edge, it is an excellent game still after all these years. Well done, Blizzard.

Upgraded, followed install instructions, everything's fine. Battlenet is fine. Note: The Starcraft folder that the installation instructions refer to should be inside your Starcraft Broodwar folder.

The installation and upgrading is still confusing. This update takes you to a page with two differenct OS X links. To repeat my previous comment, StarCraft and Broodwar needs an OS X CD, why Blizzard doesn't make one is beyond me. Naturally a fair upgrade charge would be expected. Instead we have to spend time trying to figure out what to do or email them back and forth for step by step instructions. I have given up on StarCraft in OS X.

I cant connect to battle.net anymore! its just says my internet connection is down but its not.
Not only starcraft but Diablo LOD also refuses to connect to battle.net.
Blizzards site isnd any help either :(

I remember the involved upgrading process for this game, where you had to drag and drop loads of files in various specific places. All I have is the original CD's with the classic version, and do not want to go through all the that work again.
Needs a full OS X installer CD. If you still are on OS 9, I recommend StarCraft/Broodwar. If you on OS X, wait for a full installer to be developed unless you want to go through all the upgrading work.

Can you believe they're still putting out updates for a game that shipped 7 years ago?! Blizzard has an amazing commitment to their games; it's unmatched in the game industry.
I haven't played Starcraft in a couple years now, but I played through the full game and expansion pack, and then spent a good chunk of my life playing online. Super fast-paced and lots of fun. This is indeed one of the best games ever made.
