Product Description:

Crosswordz is a easy to use classroom style crossword and word search puzzle maker. Simply type in clue and answer pairs, and Crosswordz will generate a puzzle for you.

Intuitive interface.
Picture (or solid color) backdrops let you add more life to your puzzles.
Choose from 4 different placement styles for your pictures (Center, Tile, Stretch, or Scale)
Choose diagonal or backward placed words to make your word search more challenging.
Easily creates large and small puzzles, and everything in between.
Print your puzzles plus the answer key.
Puzzle titles can span multiple lines, and are completely customizable.
Save your puzzle for another day.
Export your puzzle to a picture and your clue/answer pairs to a text document. (Great for posting on the web!)
Supports making foreign language crossword puzzles. (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and more)

What's new in this version:

German Localized version available.
Language Settings now save with the Crossword file.
Added an easy way to switch language settings, or to customize language settings.
You can now set a special font for your puzzle on a language by language basis (or use the defaults).
Crosswordz will automatically extract spaces from your answers for use in the puzzle grid (leaving the spaces in place in your answer key for readability).
Crosswordz now gives you the option to turn off capitalization of letters in the puzzle grid on a language by language basis.
Added support for adding a word search label, which appears between the grid and the clues. Tip: use this space to give instructions for the word search.
Crosswordz's "Puzzle Preview" window is now taller on monitors that support it. It will stay clear of the dock on Mac OS X.
Now its easier than ever to purchase and register Crosswordz, with 2 new menu options.
Crosswordz will now export Word Search Clues and Answers properly.
No longer clip the last row, and the last column of an exported grid.
Fixed a bug where the "Use Best Match Yet" Button would not necessarily use the best match found.

great little program. I just tried the demo and created a 33-word crossword puzzle in about 45 minutes. It works intuitively and smoothly. Great price---I will definitely buy the full version.

bug report concerning the clipping of the last row and column when a grid was exported, and the support I received from the developer was tremendous. Within 24 hours I had a version which incorporated a fix for that very problem. This latest version incorporates some of the suggestions I made at the time. This developer does a great job and is ready, willing and able to support the needs of his registered users. The programme itself, already very good, just keeps getting better.

makes crossword design fun and exciting, and is easy to use. I like the Picture feature, and I like the integration of the Apple Color picker on OS 9.2. I think the program would be great for teaching vocabulary on any subject requiring memorization, from anatomy to microbiology to art history.
