Not recommended for OS9

- Version: 1.7.2, 3/1/2005 06:39PM PST

If you are currently using a prior version on OS9 I recommend you NOT download any 1.7 version (except the beta versions which worked for me). This app no longer functions in OS9, since 1.7.1 and including this 1.7.2. There is a Yahoo newsgroup of iSwipe users which has chronicalled the difficulties. I found upon trying 1.7.2 that my prior versions are now not functioning either! I get an error message that they have expired and the app quits.
Indispensible but still needs a lot of work

For file sharing on the Mac this has been indispensible for me, but the app remains unstable, causing my machine to crash generally every 30 to 60 minutes (plus or minus, sometimes less and sometimes more). Quite a few actions still puzzling or not well functioning. Emails to developer go unanswered despite fact that I am a longtime user and have donated. I dont know if this is planned as an interactive beta development or not. A lot of ground unanswered in the documentation also.
WASTE OF BANDWIDTH!!!

junk!
d/l'd it chekt it out, TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!, out of 11 file sharing services
they supposedly support only 2 were even available!, (even the manual, if
you actually read it will tell you, you can only brouse files from "carracho" &
"hotline", you cannot d/l them!!!, and to use "edonkey" you must be a
registered user...of what i don't know, cause this program is supposedly free?, and that beggers the question: if you can't d/l from these services...
THEN WHY IN THE HELL ARE THEY INVOLVED WITH THIS PROGRAM TO
BEGIN WITH?!!!), furthermore the program claimed that out of the only 2
services that were apparently on there were "69.6 mil. files available"
BULLCRAP!, the most i got in all my searches was - 1146mp3's, 14(porno)
jpg's, 3 mov's, and 2 avi's!!! Bottom Line: i'll stick with "Carracho" and
"Limewire",(yes the also blow big-time, but at least i can still get stuff from
them that's actually worth wasting my time and processor on!!!)
