in Outlook Express 4.x was rather weak, which Microsoft recognized. Once OS 9 became available with multiple users password protection, Microsoft abandoned the OE password, saying the OS password afforded much better protection.

nifty little thing. Easy to install. Dunno why Microsoft pulled the password option in the first place. Interesting, I found a way to bypass this script. Simply go to Hardrive/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Identitiy (granted if you followed the directions and installed the script into this folder... you can easily bypass the password by changing the "Main User" folder name and enter the default "changeme" password... works every time! Just don't tell this to anybody.
