Product Description:

iChange can change the your file's MacCreator and MacTypeCode as well as Modification Date and Creation Date appending to a different file. It has also some minor options (Lock/Unlock files, Visible/Invisible...). It has an easy to use interface.

is true, it would be really nice. But in the meantime you can delete 'em in the file "Data" manually.

ahd problems with QuickTime thinking MPEG2 files were WAV files and iChange fixed everything. I wich there were a way to delete manually added file types though...

this used to be freeware, but I put a lot of work into it. If you don't want to pay you can let it unregistred, there's only one startup reminder. You don't rate the software with your one-star-rating.
